My sister recently started her own blog where she posted about the marvels of marriage. Chris and I are less than a year into the big M, but I couldn't agree more with her. Sure, it has it's share of trials and compromises, but the triumphs and joy it brings is more than you could ever imagine. It's like the feeling people tell you they get when they have a baby. They say you don't know how much you could love something (or be so tired) until you have a child. Not having any children myself, I am only going by what I've heard, but I think it works the same way with marriage (minus the insane exhaustion). Of course, not all marriages work that way, but for those people who really love each other unconditionally and are best friends, marriage confirms everything in their life. My life has taken on a new meaning. I now consider my new family (Chris, me, and Daisy-our loving pomeranian) and what is best for us. The word family has transformed from just being my mom, siblings, grandparents to our own small family unit. So, here we are above, at our wedding, the first day of our new family.

And We're Back in Action!

DU DU DU DUUUUU!!! (that's a musical intro) It's now our second official post! Yes, it has been almost a year since the first post, but we now have a better insight into what we want to post about. This blog was first started by me, Nikki, in hopes of having a place to chronicle our home improvements (or lack there of). Unfortunately for the blog, we are definitely not the "home improvement" people who spend every waking moment thinking about what color will work with the light in the office. We are, however, the "let's take a stacation on our week off and rewatch all of LOST" and "can't wait to start that new biking hobby" and "hmm, where can we put all of those cute photos of our dog" people. So, we thought this would be the perfect place to share our experiences and quirky perspective at life through our eyes.

And now that we know better what the blog will be about, I have a partner-in-crime to help. My husband and best friend will also share about the humor we find in everyday life. So, Friends, Family, thank you for supporting us and staying interested in our lives. We promise to post more often and keep everyone updated on what's going on at the Brown household.
