My sister recently started her own blog where she posted about the marvels of marriage. Chris and I are less than a year into the big M, but I couldn't agree more with her. Sure, it has it's share of trials and compromises, but the triumphs and joy it brings is more than you could ever imagine. It's like the feeling people tell you they get when they have a baby. They say you don't know how much you could love something (or be so tired) until you have a child. Not having any children myself, I am only going by what I've heard, but I think it works the same way with marriage (minus the insane exhaustion). Of course, not all marriages work that way, but for those people who really love each other unconditionally and are best friends, marriage confirms everything in their life. My life has taken on a new meaning. I now consider my new
family (Chris, me, and Daisy-our loving pomeranian) and what is best for us. The word family has transformed from just being my mom, siblings, grandparents to our own small family unit. So, here we are above, at our wedding, the first day of our new family.
